My LEGO GMC Hummer EV designs

Recently I started work on my LEGO Hummer designs and I published first two instructions for latest GMC Hummer EV models. One important note – all previous Hummer models was standalone brand and they will be published on site in Hummer section. New EV models is under GMC brand, so Hummer EV designs are published under GMC brand.

SUV version – I added instructions on site for standard black color version. Everything is very straightforward here and it looks good. One difference from pickup truck style is that SUV version support orange/red roof lights. Hood piece 52031 and 1×1 bracket 36841 might limit some possible color choices but right now it does not look like there is much color variety in this model.

I prepared also test render in one of its common green matte colors for SUV type – which in LEGO would convert to sand green. But it looks like this color is currently (early 2024) not possible without design changes.

I uploaded free instructions for Pickup truck version on my YouTube channel years ago – not long after Hummer EV was unveiled (probably still in per-production form). I used some weird design choices, like 7 stud wide body design which at the time felt like necessary to give some better looking proportions than standard 6 stud wide (and I didn’t want to go to 8 stud wide for something that is not truck or bus) but I couldn’t really finish it properly. This version now uses standard 6 stud wide City scale design and looks 100 times better. One difference from my SUV design is that this version uses a bit worse taillight design, since I couldn’t do the needed black section in corners using same design as in SUV version. And I uses 4 stud wide hood pieces for roof, that work great, but we lost a roof lights.
I couldn’t find any good way to do a version without roof. So all my designs will have a roof.

If this vehicle is more used in emergency departments I will add these versions at some point on site too. And I really like the EarthCruiser camper. I will probably try to design this too, but it will probably be available as private designs, since its too niche design to appear on site.
