My DSM designs
I finished my DSM (Diamond-Star Motors) MOC collection. I wanted to do all original DSM models that are popular among car enthusiasts – Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon and Plymouth Laser. There were more DSM vehicles later, like Mitsubishi Galant, Dodge Avenger coupe, Chrysler Sebring coupe and others – I might add these later at some point in future too.
Right now I have all designs from original DSM vehicle run. All generations, all facelifts, all body styles. On site I uploaded all main versions, other specifications are available as custom projects.
Mitsubishi Eclipse:
Eclipse section is the biggest section in my DSM library with 4 body styles (on site excluded rarer convertible versions from later generations). I have all Eclipse generations, including first 2 DSM generations. Both generations include facelift versions.
First generations is very simple and straightforward. Facelift version is one of my favorite LEGO DSM designs.
Second generation is something that took long time to finally do. I see that its very hard to do a realistic City scale design for this generation Eclipse. And for some time it looked like its not possible. The main problem was round front shape with rounded headlights. But somehow I ended up with this design, which is way better than I would ever expect. This could be the best second gen LEGO Eclipse design ever. One downside is that its more complex than average design and require some parts that don’t come in many colors. So its looks like there is limited color choices. At this point I’m not sure if it can be converted as F&F Eclipse. I will definitely try this later.
Eagle Talon:

Main difference from Eclipse is very different rear view designs. I also like Eagle Talon two-tone paint schemes. My favorite is first generation pre-facelift version with 2 tone paint job.
I think the white first generation facelift version Talon have the best rear view design of all my DSM models.
Plymouth Laser:

Plymouth Laser designs are mix between Eclipse and Talon. I really wanted to do that bright Blue/Green color (not even sure about correct name of that color) that was used on Lasers, its almost possible in LEGO but not exactly, so I ended up using regular red color.
